Officials suspect that an explosion occurred following an ammonia gas leak. An official stated that the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment. Prayagraj District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma informed that an inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the incident. He added that a committee, headed by the ADM (Finance), has been constituted to investigate the matter and is expected to submit its report within 24 to 48 hours.

Prime Minister Modi expressed grief over this accident. Conveying his condolences to the deceased, he announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹2 lakh for the families of the victims. ₹50,000 will be provided to those who sustained injuries.
అలాగే, ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి యోగి ఆదిత్యనాథ్ కూడా ఈ ఘటనపై తీవ్ర విచారం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఈ ప్రమాదంలో ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయిన వారి కుటుంబాలకు ఒక్కొక్కరికీ రూ. 2 లక్షల చొప్పున ఆర్థిక సహాయం అందించాలని యోగి, అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. గాయపడిన వారికి సరైన వైద్య చికిత్స అందేలా చూసేందుకు, వారిని వెంటనే ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించాలని జిల్లా పరిపాలన అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed deep anguish over this incident. Yogi directed officials to provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. He further instructed district administration officials to immediately shift the injured to a hospital to ensure they receive proper medical treatment.
