హరిపురం, ఏప్రిల్ 5(ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి): ఏడాది కిందట భర్త మృతి చెందగా.. కూలీ చేస్తూ ఇద్దరు కుమార్తెలను చదివిస్తోంది.
ఇంతలో ఊహించని ప్రమాదం.. పిడుగు రూపంలో ఆమెతోపాటు చిన్నకుమార్తెను బలిగొంది. పెద్దకుమార్తె అనాథగా మిగిలింది. ఇక తమకు దిక్కెవరంటూ రోదిస్తోంది. వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే.. మందస మండలం నారాయణపురం పంచాయతీ పెద్దకేసుపురంలో పిడుగుపడి తల్లీకుమార్తె మడియా కృష్ణకుమారి(36), యోగేశ్వరి(15) మృతిచెందారు. ఆదివారం మధ్యాహ్నం వారిద్దరూ తోటలో ఉన్న ఆవులకు నీరు పెట్టేందుకు వెళ్లారు. అప్పటికే వాతావరణంలో మబ్బులు కమ్ముకోవడంతో చెట్టుకింద ఆవులను శాలలో కట్టి ఇంటికి తిరిగొస్తున్నారు. అదే సమయంలో ఉరుములు, మెరుపులతో పిడుగు పడడంతో తల్లీకుమార్తె అక్కడికక్కడే మృతి చెందారు. వర్షం తగ్గినా, సాయంత్రమైనా తల్లీ చెల్లి ఇంటికి రాకపోవడంతో కృష్ణకుమారి పెద్ద కుమార్తె నిఖిత ఆందోళన చెందింది. పక్కింటి వారితో కలిసి తోటకు వెళ్లింది. మార్గమధ్యలో ఒక చెట్టుకింద ఇద్దరి మృతదేహాలు కనిపించడంతో కన్నీరుమున్నీరుగా విలపించింది. కుటుంబ సభ్యులు, బంధువుల ఆర్తనాదాలతో విషాదం అలుముకుంది. సీఐ తిరుపతిరావు, ఎస్ఐ కె.కృష్ణప్రసాద్ సంఘటనా స్థలాన్ని పరిశీలించారు. మృతదేహాలను పోస్టుమార్టం నిమిత్తం హరిపురం ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించి కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.
అనాథగా మిగిలిన పెద్దకుమార్తె
కృష్ణకుమారి భర్త ఏడాది కిందట ప్రమాదంలో మృతి చెందాడు. కూలి, వ్యవసాయ పనులు చేస్తూ కుమార్తెలను చదివిస్తోంది. యోగీశ్వరి హరిపురంలో పదోతరగతి చదివి.. ఇటీవల పరీక్షలు రాసింది. ఫలితాల కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తుండగా.. ఇంతలోనే పిడుగుపాటుకు గురై మృత్యుఒడికి చేరింది. పెద్ద కుమార్తె నిఖిత ఇంటర్ పూర్తి చేసింది. ఏడాది కిందట తండ్రిని, ఇప్పుడు అమ్మను, చెల్లినీ కోల్పోయి.. తాను అనాథగా మిగిలానని నిఖిత రోదన పలువురిని కంటతడి పెట్టించింది.
పెద్దకేసుపురంలో పిడుగుపడి తల్లీకుమార్తె మృతి చెందారని విషయం తెలుసుకుని కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర మంత్రులు కింజరాపు రామ్మోహన్నాయుడు, అచ్చెన్నాయుడు దిగ్ర్భాంతి వ్యక్తం చేశారు. మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు సానుభూతి తెలియజేశారు. మంత్రి అచ్చెన్నాయుడు.. ఎమ్మెల్యే గౌతు శిరీష, అధికారులతో ఫోన్లో మాట్లాడి ప్రభుత్వం తరపున మృతులకు రూ.4 లక్షలు చొప్పున పరిహారాన్ని కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు అందజేస్తామన్నారు. వాతావరణ శాఖ హెచ్చరికల నేపథ్యంలో ప్రజలు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు.
Haripuram, April 5 (Andhra Jyothy): A year after her husband passed away, a woman had been supporting and educating her two daughters by working as a daily wage laborer.
Then, an unforeseen tragedy struck—a lightning bolt claimed the lives of both the mother and her younger daughter. The elder daughter has been left orphaned; she now wails in anguish, wondering who is left to look after her. According to the details, a mother and daughter—Madiya Krishnakumari (36) and Yogeswari (15)—died after being struck by lightning in Peddakesupuram village, under the Narayanapuram Panchayat of Mandasa Mandal. On Sunday afternoon, the pair had gone to the orchard to give water to their cows. As dark clouds had already gathered in the sky, they tied the cows in a shed beneath a tree and began heading back home. At that very moment, amidst thunder and lightning, a bolt struck them, killing both the mother and daughter on the spot. As the rain subsided and evening fell, Krishnakumari’s elder daughter, Nikhita, grew anxious because her mother and younger sister had not returned home. Accompanied by neighbors, she went to the orchard to look for them. Upon discovering their lifeless bodies lying beneath a tree along the way, she broke down in inconsolable grief. A pall of tragedy descended upon the area as family members and relatives wailed in anguish. CI Tirupati Rao and SI K. Krishnaprasad inspected the scene of the incident. The bodies were shifted to the Haripuram hospital for a post-mortem examination; a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
**Elder Daughter Left Orphaned**
Krishnakumari's husband had passed away in an accident a year ago. Working as a daily wage laborer and engaging in agricultural work, she was educating her daughters. Yogeeswari completed her 10th grade studies in Haripuram and recently appeared for her examinations. While she was awaiting her results, tragedy struck; she was struck by lightning and succumbed to her injuries. Her elder sister, Nikitha, has completed her Intermediate studies. Having lost her father just a year ago—and now her mother and younger sister—Nikitha’s heart-wrenching lament that she has been left all alone as an orphan moved many to tears.
Upon learning that a mother and daughter had died after being struck by lightning in Peddakesupuram, Union Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and State Minister Atchannaidu expressed their profound shock. They conveyed their deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Minister Atchannaidu spoke over the phone with MLA Gouthu Sirisha and local officials, assuring them that the government would provide a compensation of ₹4 lakhs to the family members for each of the deceased. He also advised the public to remain vigilant in light of the warnings issued by the Meteorological Department.
